Ambire Governance Proposal: Extend $xWALLET Staking Rewards for a Fourth Year
The Ambire community is at a crossroads as it considers extending $xWALLET staking rewards for another year. This vital decision will impact governance participation and strengthen the ecosystem. Make your voice count—vote before the March 5, 2025 deadline!

With staking rewards recently stopping, the Ambire community must decide whether to extend incentives for those committed to the ecosystem for another year.
This governance vote will determine whether additional rewards should be allocated to continue the staking program. More than half of the circulating supply, or 52.02%, is currently staked, reflecting the strong confidence in the ecosystem.
Beyond earning rewards, staking $xWALLET grants voting power, allowing holders to participate in governance and shape Ambire's future.
This vote is essential to Ambire as the Ethereum ecosystem evolves and account abstraction gains traction with EIP-7702. As the only hybrid account abstraction wallet to support EOAs and Smart Accounts, Ambire is already ahead of this shift, making being part of the community sexy again.
Proposal overview
Should we extend $xWALLET staking rewards for a fourth year?
Staking rewards were introduced to encourage long-term commitment and active governance participation in Ambire. With the current allocation ending, the community must decide whether to extend them for another year, at the same rate, at a halved rate, or let them expire.
The additional staking rewards will come from the DAO treasury. If the community chooses to extend the current reward rate with 4% of the total $WALLET supply, the additional issuance will amount to 5.84% of the circulating supply, and if it opts for 2% (halved rate), it will be 2.92%. In both scenarios, reward tokens won’t go directly into circulation as they are locked by default.
If extended, rewards will also apply to $stkWALLET once it replaces $xWALLET, ensuring a seamless transition for stakers and maintaining the incentive structure.
Voting options
The community will decide between the following options:
- Extend the current reward rate
- Halve the current reward rate
- End staking rewards
Proposal motivation
Encouraging long-term commitment
Extending staking rewards incentivizes token holders to keep their tokens staked rather than withdraw them. This means a more aligned community, a healthier token economy, and governance decisions driven by long-term participants rather than short-term traders.
Increase governance participation
Staking $xWALLET is like holding shares in the future of Ambire—those who stake are the ones who decide. The more tokens staked, the stronger the community’s governance power, ensuring decisions reflect the interests of active participants.
Supporting a smooth transition to $stkWALLET
Extending staking rewards ensures a smooth transition from $xWALLET to $stkWALLET without disrupting existing stakers. Maintaining incentives throughout the migration period encourages continued participation, reinforces governance stability, and helps establish stkWALLET with a strong staking base from the start.
