Close Ambire Rewards Season 2

Season 2's one-month extension is wrapping up below target. It's time to decide on how to close it: end with no payout, or end with a 50% payout from the extension rewards pool.

Close Rewards Season 2
It's time to decide how we end Rewards Season 2
The vote has concluded, and the results are summarized below.

Ambire Rewards Season 2 is set to end on April 15, 2026, and we need the community to decide how to close it.

In March, the DAO voted to extend Season 2 by one month with a new milestone: reach $2M in Swap & Bridge volume to unlock a $150k $WALLET rewards pool. With a day left in the extension, current volume sits at $1.27M — short of the $2M target.

Now we need your help to decide what to do.

Proposal overview

This governance proposal asks the community how we should close Ambire Rewards Season 2, since the extended season is on track to fall short of the $2M Swap & Bridge volume threshold.

There are two paths:

  • End the season with no payout, or
  • End the season with a 50% payout (50% of the original rewards pool)

The question is: How should we close Ambire Rewards Season 2?

Voting options

  • End now with no payout
  • End now with 50% pool* payout

If you vote to end with no payout, the season closes on April 15, and no $WALLET is distributed for Season 2.

*If you vote to end with a 50% pool payout, the season closes on April 15, and $50,000 worth of $WALLET (50% of the original $100k rewards pool) is distributed to eligible Season 2 participants, calculated using the Season 2 scoring formula.

Motivation

We're proposing these options to keep the process fair, transparent, and aligned with what Ambire Rewards is meant to do: reward real usage.

  • One extension was enough. The community already chose to give Season 2 a second chance in March. With the extended target also out of reach, it's time for a clean close rather than another extension on top of an extension.
  • Fair close-out options. Ending with either no payout or a partial payout lets the DAO choose how strict it wants to be about hitting targets versus recognizing the users who did show up and use Swap & Bridge during the season.
  • Clear runway into what's next. A definitive end to Season 2 lets the team and the community focus on the next phase of Ambire Rewards, rather than keeping a season on life support.
  • Reward real usage. Whichever option wins, the outcome reflects the principle Season 2 was built on - rewards follow real volume, not promises.

Voting requirements

  • Hold $WALLET or $stkWALLET before the snapshot.
  • Note that the voting power of $WALLET tokens is half (0.5 points) that of $stkWALLET tokens.
  • Any token changes after the snapshot will not affect the voting power. For example, staking your $WALLET tokens after the snapshot will not double their voting power.

Timeline

  • Vote start: The voting period begins on April 14, 2026, at 14:00 UTC
  • Vote end: The voting period closes on April 19, 2026, at 14:00 UTC

How to vote

  1. Open the proposal on Snapshot
  2. Connect your wallet holding $WALLET or $stkWALLET tokens
  3. Choose one of the voting options and confirm

Vote summary

The vote has concluded. With 53 votes cast, the community decided to end Ambire Rewards Season 2 with no payout.

The winning option, End now with no payout, received 32.4m voting power (58.04%), while End now with 50% pool payout received 23.4m voting power (41.96%).

Ambire Rewards S2 will end with no rewards payout

Season 2 is now closed. No $WALLET will be distributed for this season. Already-claimed tokens from previous seasons remain unaffected.

As a reminder, any $stkWALLET holder with 50K or more voting power can open a governance proposal on Snapshot. If you have ideas for the next phase of Ambire Rewards or anything else you'd like the DAO to consider, the floor is yours.
