Ambire Governance Proposal: Update XP for Selected Rewards Quests
Change XP from logarithmic to linear on eight quests, including Lido staking/holding, Ambire Bridge/Swap, and key $WALLET actions. Each quest has its own coefficient, with no cap. Rewards formula remains unchanged. Applies this season if extended, else next.

This governance proposal aims to determine whether to switch the XP gain from logarithmic to linear for a specific set of quests. The goal is to align incentives with meaningful activity more effectively, onboard more users, and maintain fair distribution, without altering the Rewards formula that converts XP and balance into rewards.
Proposal overview
The following eight quests in Ambire Rewards currently use a logarithmic XP gain. We propose switching them to linear XP gain, so XP scales proportionally with the magnitude of the action:
- Hold staked $ETH with Lido
- Stake $ETH with Lido
- Use the Ambire Bridge
- Swap tokens using Ambire Swap
- Stake $WALLET
- Hold $stkWALLET
- Provide $WALLET liquidity
- Migrating $xWALLET to $stkWALLET
Each quest will have its own reward coefficient, so XP per unit of value differs by quest (for example, XP per $1 swapped may differ from XP per $1 bridged or staked). There is no cap: larger actions earn XP strictly in proportion to their size.
This proposal does not change the Season 1 rewards formula or weighting (weight = level × √balance). We are only proposing to change how XP is earned for the listed quests.
The Question is: Should Ambire change the XP formula for the selected quests from logarithmic to linear?
Voting options
- Yes - Change the XP formula
- No - Don’t change the XP formula
- Abstain
Applicability & timing
- If the Season 1 extension vote (currently live) passes with “Yes”, these changes will take effect during the current Season 1.
- If the extension vote does not pass, the change will take effect starting with Season 2.
Motivation
This governance proposal aims to:
- Encourage higher balances: Linear XP rewards users more effectively for holding and using more within Ambire, promoting healthy balances and deeper engagement.
- Reward what matters (not grinding): Prioritise meaningful actions: bridging, swapping, staking, providing liquidity, and acquiring/holding $WALLET.
- Align with growth plans: Give back to users whose behavior supports Ambire’s growth: trading, staking, and hodling $WALLET; using Ambire Swap and the Bridge; and participating in Lido-based staking.
- Provide clarity & predictability: Linear XP is easier to understand, helping new users join and track progress without surprises.
- Ensure fairness over the long run: Proportional rewards more accurately reflect sustained contribution and volume, improving distribution outcomes when combined with weekly snapshots.
Voting eligibility
- Hold $WALLET or $stkWALLET on Ethereum before the snapshot.
- The voting power of $WALLET tokens is half (0.5 points) that of $stkWALLET tokens.
- Any token changes after the snapshot will not affect the voting power. For example, staking your $WALLET tokens after the snapshot will not double their voting power.
Timeline
- Discussion starts: October 2, 2025, at 14:00 UTC
- Discussion ends: October 7, 2025, at 14:00 UTC
Voting will be announced separately on Snapshot after the discussion window closes.
