Ambire's Recap of EthCC[8] in Cannes

Read about Ambire's productive week in Cannes for EthCC [8| earlier this month. From sponsoring the main event, to talks at side events, to the best Web3 parties, we have a bit of everything!

Ambires's recap of EthCC8 in Cannes in July 2025

What a week we had in the beautiful South of France at the beginning of July! We survived the heatwave and navigated hundreds of side events, and we’re back reenergized and rehydrated to tell you all about our adventures!

Multichain Day

The first event we participated in was Multichain Day on Monday, June 30th, and what a start to the week that was! With a super strong line-up of speakers and a full program of panels, keynotes, and fireside chats, as well as dedicated partner booths, Multichain Day saw 1,200 attendees throughout the day.

We had the pleasure to talk to old and new Ambire frens at our booth, where we gave out limited edition Cannes Ambire Wallet swag in return for industry insights. We gathered valuable feedback from degens, casual users, as well as people new to the Web3 wallet landscape, and kitted our visitors with their beach essentials for the week and for their summer vacations:

The highlight of the day for our team was definitely when Ivo Georgiev, CEO and co-founder of Ambire Wallet, took to the stage and participated in a panel discussion on dApps and Consumer Products, together with the co-founder of 1inch, core developers at Beefy, etc:

EthCC [8] Main event

Ambire Wallet was one of the WAGMI sponsors of EthCC [8], which meant that on July 2nd and 3rd we had a booth at the WAGMI boulevard. We had a blast chatting to old conference buddies, OG Ambire users, and making new Ambire frens who are keen to experience the power of smart contracts for their existing accounts!

We also did important market research:

We did some market research irl

It seems the sentiment is clear: Most people are bullish on the next six months and do believe ETH is money. What are you even doing at EthCC if you don’t think so, right?

Jokes aside, we did do actual market research by collecting feedback on the wallet landscape and user behaviour. There is certainly a demand for wallet mobile apps - and while many users still prefer to use a browser extension for DeFi, they’d like to also have a mobile app to use on the go for smaller transactions e.g. When asked what they’d like to see in a wallet, ease of use and security were top performers, which is just as well since Ambire Wallet offers both.

In return, we gave out limited edition Cannes swag to booth visitors, making sure they are summer ready - protected from the sun, with a compact beach towel and beach bag on hand!

We were lucky that we had devs on the floor too, not just the members of the marketing & BD team. Our devs were able to have in-depth technical discussions with people interested in the technology behind Ambire. But best of all, they were also able to help ecosystem frens like Trezor show the full potential of their products (and this way demo Ambire’s superpowers too):

And, of course, we had to leave our mark on the EthCC Wall of Fame. Here, our lovely social and community guru, Aljaz, also known as Cinesius, is adding Ambire to the EthCC map quite literally:

Memorable side events for the team

There were over 250 side events surrounding EthCC in Cannes this year. Our team tried to attend as many meaningful events where we could network, learn more, etc., and let our hair down a bit after a hard day’s work. Here’s just some of our highlights:

DeFi Summer Day & rAAVE by Aave

The Aave team and friends once again gathered some pretty impressive DeFi minds for insightful panels on topics like stablecoins, RWA, modular DeFi, and so on. But DeFi Summer Day wasn’t just your usual event in a hotel conference center - what stood out was the absolutely stunning setting and immaculate vibes. Not often do you listen to Vitalik chat about Ethereum while enjoying the view of the Mediterranean Sea behind him in the glorious summer sunshine!

Later in the week, the villa hosted one of the most anticipated side events - the famous rAAVE. The dress code was all white which just made the setting look even more magical, and the sunset even more beautiful! Networking on the dance floor was strictly forbidden so that we could all take a well deserved break with a delicious cocktail in hand!

P.S. Did you know you can see your Aave positions directly in the Ambire Extension in the DeFi tab of the dashboard?

“Send me money for my nails” by Matcha and Chipped

The teams at Matcha.xyz and Chipped partnered up for another fun event! They set up a crypto pop-up nail salon where you could get a Matcha green set of NFC chipped nails and make new frens onchain by simply tapping their phone with your thumb!

Making side events an experience is definitely a trend we can get behind! Just look at the photos:

Honorable mentions

The team also enjoyed the now traditional Builder’s Night by Metamask, Dune’s Wine Club, Pudgy Penguins Beachfest, Lido’s Stakers Guild, etc - there were too many events to list them all. But the vibes were always bullish!

The Ambire team came back recharged, reenergized, and ready to deliver better wallet UX and secure and easy self-custody. We can't wait to see you at the next event!
