Decide the Governance Participation XP Thresholds
The DAO will decide if 5,000 XP per vote should require 10k or 20k $WALLET voting power or remain unchanged. Options include reduced XP (500) or none below the threshold. Voting access stays open to all.
Following community feedback in Discord about fairness in Ambire Rewards, we’re proposing minimum voting power thresholds for earning governance XP.
The goal is simple: make rewards reflect meaningful participation and reduce farming by dust accounts - without changing anyone’s right to vote. The recently approved 5,000 XP per vote remains in effect. This proposal only defines who qualifies to receive it based on voting power.
Proposal overview
Currently, any address that votes receives the same governance XP. In practice, many near-zero voting power accounts can claim the same XP as long-term holders with substantial stakes.
To maintain fairness, we propose introducing minimum voting power thresholds for receiving 5,000 XP per vote.
- Voting power follows the same Snapshot logic: $WALLET counts 0.5x (half that of staked tokens), $stkWALLET counts 1x, measured at the vote’s snapshot.
- If approved, thresholds apply to all future governance votes. For past Season 1 votes (currently at 500 XP each): if Don’t change wins, everyone is upgraded to 5,000 XP per vote. If a threshold option wins, only voters who met the chosen minimum voting power at each vote’s snapshot are upgraded to 5,000 XP; others keep 500 XP.
- Voting eligibility does not change. Any amount of $WALLET or $stkWALLET still allows you to vote; thresholds affect XP rewards only.
The question is: Should Ambire introduce minimum voting power thresholds for earning 5,000 XP per governance vote?
Voting options
- Don’t change (5K XP for all)
- Below 10K WALLET – 500 XP
- Below 10K WALLET – 0 XP
- Below 20K WALLET – 500 XP
- Below 20k WALLET – 0 XP
Motivation
- Make XP reflect meaningful stake. Today, a dust account can earn the same 5,000 XP as an address with significant voting power. A minimum threshold ties rewards to commitment and long-term alignment.
- Raise the cost of abuse. Thresholds make Sybil splits and XP farming uneconomic. Many tiny accounts won’t qualify for the full reward, which reduces the incentive to game the system.
- Encourage committed participation. Thresholds encourage users to maintain a consolidated balance and stay with Ambire rather than spreading tokens thinly across multiple addresses.
- Keep voting open to all. Eligibility to vote does not change. Depending on the option selected, voters below the threshold will receive 500 XP or 0 XP, while voters at or above the threshold receive the full 5,000 XP.
Voting eligibility
- Hold $WALLET or $stkWALLET before the snapshot..
- The voting power of $WALLET tokens is half (0.5 points) that of $stkWALLET tokens.
- Any token changes after the snapshot will not affect the voting power. For example, staking your $WALLET tokens after the snapshot will not double their voting power.
Timeline
- Vote start: The voting period begins on November 6, 2025, at 15:00 UTC
- Vote end: The voting period closes on November 13, 2025, at 15:00 UTC
How to vote
- Open the proposal on Snapshot
- Connect your wallet holding $WALLET or $stkWALLET tokens
- Choose one of the voting options and confirm
Vote summary
The community chose to set a 20,000 WALLET voting-power threshold, with 500 XP below the threshold.
The winning option, “Below 20K WALLET – 500 XP,” received 41.22% (19.9m voting power), followed by “Below 20K WALLET – 0 XP” with 39.70% (19.2m), “Below 10K WALLET – 500 XP” with 16.17% (7.8m), “Below 10K WALLET – 0 XP” with 2.81% (1.4m), and “Don’t change (5K XP for all)” with 0.11% (53k).
Participation reached a new record, with 163 accounts voting 🎉

To receive 5,000 XP for a governance vote, an address must have ≥20,000 WALLET voting power at the vote’s snapshot. Addresses below that threshold receive 500 XP. Voting rights are unchanged.
Upgrades to 5,000 XP per vote will be applied retroactively only to voters who met the 20,000 WALLET threshold at each vote’s snapshot; others keep 500 XP. Execution details will follow.
