Ambire in Bangkok: A Recap of Devcon7
Devcon 7 in Bangkok was a significant milestone for Ambire in 2024. The team engaged in Ethereum discussions, organized a Web3 marketing summit, and participated in workshops showcasing innovations in account abstraction. Discover the key moments from this exciting event in the article.
The Ambire team flew to Bangkok to attend Devcon 7, the biggest and most important Ethereum conference in 2024. Ambire core team members participated in panel discussions, important account abstraction conversations, and workshops.
This year, the Ambire team had the chance to visit 5 Ethereum conferences and leave a mark in the ecosystem. Our last event for the year was the biggest Ethereum conference, Devcon7, in Bangkok. We sent 10 team members to deliver talks and workshops, organize our own side event for our brand AdEx, meet people, and exchange ideas on the future of account abstraction, smart wallets, and Ethereum.

Abstract Bangkok
After 2023's Abstract edition in Istanbul, we decided to support again Argent's side event on account abstraction and smart wallets. Our CEO, Ivo Georgiev, participated in two panels:
- Thaï boxing: Smart accounts vs. smarter EOAs
- AA in production — challenges and opportunities
On both panels, Ivo was joined by key leaders at Safe, Argent, Clave, and Ledger. The audience was taking notes:
Right after Ivo's panel, Vitalik took the stage and shared his views on the future of account & chain abstraction.
Ambire at the Account Abstraction Hub at Devcon's main venue
Devcon 7 welcomed more than 12,000 attendees, making it undoubtedly the biggest Ethereum event in 2024. This year, in addition to 5 big stages, there were community hubs as well—spaces organized by the community for deep dives into specific Ethereum-related topics and to meet people working in specific Ethereum-related fields. It is safe to say that the Ambire team was one of the most recognized teams at the Account Abstraction Community Hub.
Ivo delivered a talk/workshop on the future of wallets and EIP-7702. You can watch the full livestream here.
Ambire developer Borislav Itskov demonstrated the use of Schnorr signatures in account abstraction with Safe Wallet.
The Web3 Marketers Summit
Web3 marketing has become a hot topic lately. Our brand AdEx is one of the OG projects in the Web3 ads space, and this year, we decided to support Web3 marketers by giving them the stage. More than 150 people showed up, filling the space's capacity.
Notable marketers on stage were Claire Kart, CMO at Aztec Network, Emily Lai, CMO at Hype Partners, and Asaf Nadler, Co-founder at Addressable. The event was opened by AdEx and Ambire Co-founder Dimo Stoyanov.

Ambire supported the event, and we saw Ambire, Head of Marketing Ivan Manchev, host a hot fireside chat with Dr. Natallie Tillack, Head of Product Marketing at Parity.
Scooter rides, pad thai, and Soi Cowboy (SFW)
Bangkok is an amazing megacity and a melting pot of culture, gastronomy and vibes, perhaps one of the best locations Devcon has ever been at. The team had the chance to discover new tastes, meet local people and even celebrate Bitcoin's $94,000 ATH over a beer at the iconic Soi Cowboy Street (it was literally just a beer, seriously).
We left Bangkok more than ever confident in the future of smart wallets. Devcon7 marked the end of the year for Ambire on the road, but we are already planning our events calendar for 2025. Stay tuned!
