Ambire Wallet Development Update Q3 2025

From EthCC to multiple WalletDAO governance proposals to UX improvements, Q3 of 2025 was non-stop again. Working hard to ship the best version of the Ambire Extension and more - find out what we’ve been busy with!

Ambire dev update Q3, 2025
Find out what has been going on with Ambire in Q3 of 2025

As we gear up for the final quarter of 2025, it is time to look back at Q3 and check out the major developments from Ambire!

Ambire Extension power-ups

Earlier this year, we started doing live user interviews. This is basically us observing Ambire (new and existing) users interact with the extension so we can identify and remove friction points, improve the user experience, focus on features that matter the most to our users, etc. We continue doing live user interviews, and below you can see what we’ve further improved recently (aside from fixing all reported bugs). If you’re keen to give us feedback, join us for an interview yourself!

Multi-swap

It is now possible to combine multiple tokens and swap them to a different token on the same network for hot wallets on networks where smart transactions are supported:

Smart transactions on 3 more chains

Ambire now supports smart transactions on eleven chains, and we’re the leading wallet in supported networks. Check out how it works on Polygon, the 10th chain we integrated it on:

Retry transaction

If a transaction fails onchain for some reason, don’t sweat it - Ambire lets you retry literally with the touch of a button:

Rearrange accounts in seconds

Managing multiple accounts within the same extension was made even easier - you can drag and drop and reorganize the order of appearance of all your accounts:

Firefox support added for the extension

The Ambire Extension is available for users of the Firefox browser, too. This means you can use it on Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Arc:

Easy access to Ambire Rewards straight in the dashboard

We’ve made it even easier to claim your well-deserved XP for onchain activity and translate it into $WALLET tokens at the end of Ambire Rewards Season 1, now directly in the extension:

Ambire forked by the Ethereum Foundation (EF)

The Ethereum Foundation announced at the beginning of the quarter that it will be working on a prototype wallet built for interoperability, crosschain UX, and privacy. It is called Kohaku, but this isn’t the most exciting part about it.

What makes it so special is that it is actually a fork of Ambire Wallet, and members of our team are involved in the development of Kohaku (together with the EF and Wonderland):

Ambire Governance

A total of 3 governance votes took place in Q3. Two of them were focused on Ambire Rewards, the program that allows you to earn XP & $WALLET rewards for onchain activity. First, the community voted on the total reward pool for Season 1. Then, it voted to extend Season 1 until Dec 15, 2025. This last vote, to extend the season, aims to improve the mechanics of Rewards with community input - and there have already been a few more votes since the end of Q3, plus more planned for Q4.

The community also voted to add Bitrefill to the app catalog in the Ambire Extension - and was rewarded with a cashback promotion for it, too! We plan to introduce more apps this way in the future, and apps or community members can also propose apps to be added to the catalog.

Ambire at Web3 events

We attended two Web3 events in Q3. Check out more info about where we went and what we did:

EthCC in Cannes, France

We started Q3 in Cannes, France, for EthCC week. There, we supported MultiChain Day, where we had a booth, and Co-Founder and CEO Ivo Georgiev participated in a panel discussion on dApps and Consumer products: PayFi, Wallets, Yield, and Swaps. He talked about good UX, amongst other things:

We also supported the main event of EthCC with a booth where we gave out limited-edition “Louis Vuitton for degens” swag, did live user interviews in person, demoed the extension, and did market research for future improvements of Ambire. Have a look at the summary here:

EthSofia in Sofia, Bulgaria

September saw the majority of the team in one place for EthSofia and a weekend of team building. EthSofia may be on the smaller side of Web3 events, but with crypto companies blooming in Bulgaria, it’s as vibrant and fun as any other event. There, we had the ‘Ambiremobile’ for people to stick stickers on, a booth with quality swag and conversation, and Ivo delivered a talk on the future of smart accounts.

But what impressed the audience the most was when we brought in a Bulgarian folk choir, who, with help from our team, rewrote a beautiful traditional song… about Bitcoin and ETH:

Bonus: meet the team

Ethereum turned 10 years old on July 30th, 2025. To mark the occasion, we put together a fun little video with members of our team wishing Ethereum a happy birthday. Check out the people you may know from this blog, X, Discord, or Telegram:

Final words

With Q4 in full swing, we never stop. We’re preparing for Devconnect in Argentina (more info on this soon), more governance proposals, and more improvements to the Ambire extension. There is no slowing down for team Ambire!
