Ambire Journal Vol. 4: Things Are Growing

Check out what has been going on with Ambire recently - both in our kitchen, as well as our great community!

Ambire Journal vol. 4
The latest news straight from the Ambire kitchen

Good morning, fellow crypto coin collectors. Before we get into the casual chatters, let’s take a moment to celebrate something 💜

Data: https://dune.com/whd/ambire-wallet

We’ve been working on a wallet that people actually wanna use for some time now (circa +4 years) and we love seeing people discovering and using Ambire more and more. Now, this is an impressive transaction growth recently, don’t you agree?

Okay, now back to building …

What would you like Ambire to improve next?

Ideas, feedback, error reporting, whatever comes to your mind - you know where to find us.

🤩 Ethereum Foundation forked Ambire

Exciting: The Ethereum Foundation forked Ambire to work on a prototype wallet for improving interoperability and privacy (the prototype wallet is called Kohaku).

We’re hard at work to bring you some shiny new features:

  • Interop: Unified balances across chains
  • Privacy: Private transfers

The project is well underway, and we’ll keep you posted with updates.

🗞️ Stories from Ambirers

Can someone check on Pascal's sleep schedule? We’re a bit worried he’s too busy cooking content to rest! He wrote two awesome pieces on how the latest Ethereum upgrade and Ambire make onchain life easier and safer.

Ambire Rewards alpha by Robert, looking good here:

REVOKE ALL TOKEN APPROVALS IN A SINGLE TRANSACTION WITH AMBIRE X REVOKECASH AND SLEEP LIKE A BABY!!!

Bullish on Ambire and $WALLET? (it’s up 80% in the last 30 days)

People are discovering the wallet, and we love to see it 💜

Happy to see Ambire OGs winning.

😉 Fresh and cool stuff to do in the Ambire Extension - and brag about

Smart transactions (with EIP-7702) are now live on all 10 supported chains with Ambire. The intern did a quick video about transaction batching and paying gas with various tokens.

Organizing accounts' order in extension is now a piece of cake.

PowerFULL: Did you know that you can use assets that are yet to arrive at your account? Check the thread and use it to your advantage.

Swap multiple tokens into one. Perfect for cleaning up dust token balances in your portfolio.

The app catalog is built for security and convenience:

Even swaps don’t always work out. But now, you’ve got a Retry button 🤗

📯 Ambire Rewards

If you’re using Ambire but haven’t minted your character in Ambire Rewards yet, you’re missing out on a lot of things…

Like your share of a 20M $stkWALLET reward pool in Season 1.

The reward pool has been voted on in the latest governance proposal which broke our previous record  of 100 voters - good work everyone!

Talking about governance, let’s hop into…

⚖️ Governing Ambire

There are a couple of things to decide, so expect new Ambire governance votes soon. Quick reminders:

  • Voting is possible using WALLET and stkWALLET tokens only (and stkWALLET has a bigger voting power).
  • If you still hold xWALLET legacy governance tokens, migrate them to stkWALLET here
  • If you’re not voting in governance, we can’t be true friends 💔😜

One of the upcoming votes will decide whether we want to increase built-in swap fees from 0.25% to 0.5%.

This decision needs to take place in governance for the following reasons:

  • Ambire wants to keep swap fees attractive enough for users to swap directly in the wallet.
  • Swap fees are an essential part of Ambire's revenue, and they get directed towards WALLET buybacks.

Recently, more than 50M $WALLET tokens have been bought back from the market.

Here’s some napkin math to think about before we get into the governance vote discussion and voting:

Love to see people having fun with Ambire goodies:

👻 Smoler things

Crypto teams had some fun at EthCC (the biggest yearly Ethereum conference in Europe) in Cannes, and we were happy to be part of it. Here’s a quick video that sums up the week and a recap blog post.

We're learning a ton from user interviews about how people use the wallet. It goes like this:

  1. We invite people (new or existing users) to a video chat in Google Meet
  2. Chat starts with some basic questions about wallets in general
  3. Tester explores and voices thoughts about the wallet while using it
  4. We analyze recordings and come up with improvements

Wanna try it out and help us build a perfect Ethereum wallet? Check the post below.

That's a wrap for today, folks! We're wishing you a beautiful week,

Your Team at Ambire 💜
