Spoiler: the Ambire extension is getting a fresh look soon. Think more compact and more in sync with the upcoming mobile app 👀
In 2026, we plan to continue adding security and productivity features while heavily focusing on two objectives:
Privacy remains a top priority at Ambire. We plan to upstream emerging Kohaku primitives, and because Kohaku is forked from Ambire, bringing features back will be easier.
Led by the Ethereum Foundation & friends, Kohaku aims to improve privacy for all Ethereum users.
Our first steps are private transfers and light client support. More in the thread below.
Privacy isn’t something you enable in Ambire. It’s how it works.

Make Ethereum feel like one chain again. The goal is to enable users to view and spend unified ETH (and other tokens) balances across all EVM chains in a single click.
At Devconnect, we showcased how the Ethereum Interoperability Layer (EIL) makes this possible:
Remember chain abstraction?

You might have seen the $WALLET chart and wondered what the hell happened. Here is the story:
While ambire's userbase is growing, the token we believe in so much, $WALLET, has been dropping lately. Why?
— Ivo 7702/acc (@Ivshti) January 21, 2026
Our community deserves transparency on why that's happening: in the last month, a large exchange we're listed on (you can figure it out from the onchain data) has moved…
Curious how to position yourself in Season 2? The intern shared a great post, and the full breakdown is live in the blog at Rewards Season 2.
Use Ambire. Get $WALLET.

The built-in swap fee has been set to 0.5% as per a successfully passed governance vote. Here’s a quick breakdown on how this impacts the $WALLET ecosystem.

— ambire.eth (@ambire) January 6, 2026
> We charge swap fee
> All collected fees go into $WALLET buybacks
> Less $WALLET on the open market
> More value for $WALLET holders

Don’t miss it: To simplify Season 2 stats tracking, we’ve added a new “Rewards Pool” tab that monitors built-in swap volumes. What do you think of it?

On an additional note, the number of unique addresses voting in governance is steadily increasing. Great work on governing Ambire!

- the ability to navigate through basic actions quickly (wallets should empower, not slow you down)
- no built-in casino
There's tremendous lack of focus in most wallets these…
