Ambire Journal Vol. 3: Life Since Smart Wallets
Serving the freshest gossip from Ambirers, tips and tricks for friendlier onchain life, governance stuff, and some sneak peeks from the Ambire HQ.

Gm, people of Ambire! The hottest journal is back in town, and there’s a lot to unpack 🍿
Okay, let’s start with some awesome stats. We’re the 2nd most popular wallet ranked by account delegations (EOAs upgraded with smart features), thanks to EIP-7702 in the latest Ethereum upgrade.
25625 addresses on all chains upgraded to smarter EOAs in Ambire, which can now batch transactions and pay gas with various tokens. More on that just a bit later…
Only 🦊 is ahead … when flipping?

On June 4th, I got drained.

My main wallet was delegated to a malicious contract that hijacks incoming transactions, checks token balances, and drains everything. I found out while trying to claim my @lagrangedev airdrop.
I never shared my private key. Still don’t know what I… pic.twitter.com/1Is3UbyrWr

If you haven’t claimed your goodies yet, head over to Ambire Rewards Quests!
Season 1 has been live for about a month with some exciting updates:
Smarter EOAs and smart accounts can now participate in Ambire Rewards!
You can import accounts from other wallets, make them smarter (by batching transactions or paying gas with various tokens), and kick off with up to 20,000 XP 👓

Recent activities:
- Partner quests are now live! The first one is with Lido: stake ETH and hold stETH to get up to 350 XP weekly.
- Keep an eye on Ambire Snapshot and community channels as we vote on Season 1 rewards rules and distribution.
- Pay attention to notifications in the top right corner at Ambire Rewards 👁️
- $WALLET subpage in Ambire Rewards.
To sum it up, if you’re rocking the Ambire Wallet Extension but haven’t joined Rewards yet, you’re missing out on XP!
Each transaction, swap, bridge, stake, send on eligible networks … earns you XP 😎
⚖️ Governance updates
A couple of interesting updates here, so let’s start with a brief history of token relations:
$WALLET is the token that powers the Ambire ecosystem.
$xWALLET was introduced in the early days as a staked version of $WALLET. It yields APR and acts as the only token eligible for governance voting.
$stkWALLET was introduced to bring a friendlier staking and voting experience since it represents a 1:1 relation with the $WALLET token.
IMPORTANT: Moving forward, both $WALLET and $stkWALLET can be used for casting votes in governance, while it’s impossible to participate in governance with $xWALLET.
The weight is slightly different though, 1 $stkWALLET represents 1 vote while 1 $WALLET represents 0.5 vote.
Suppose you’re still holding $xWALLET, no worries, as the APR is still accruing! You can migrate from $xWALLET to $stkWALLET in Ambire Rewards and get up to 500 XP!
👻 Smoler updates
